SpendSafe – Expense Tracker
Last updated: March 2026
SpendSafe – Expense Tracker (“the app”, “we”, “our”) is developed by W3park Technologies.
Your privacy is very important to us. This policy explains what information the app uses and how it is handled.
We aim to minimize data collection as much as possible and give users full control over their financial data.
1. Local Data Storage
SpendSafe is designed to work fully offline.
All financial data such as:
- income records
- expense records
- transaction notes
- categories
- budgets
- account information
are stored locally on your device using a SQLite database.
Important:
• We do not collect or store this data on external servers
• We cannot access your financial information
• No account registration is required to use the app
Your financial data remains under your control at all times.
2. Optional Dropbox Backup
SpendSafe offers an optional backup feature using Dropbox.
If you choose to enable this feature:
- The app may upload a backup copy of your local database to your personal Dropbox account.
- Backups are stored inside the app folder within your Dropbox storage.
Important:
• Backup is completely optional
• Data is stored in your Dropbox account, not on our servers
• We do not have access to your Dropbox files
• You can disable backups or delete them anytime
The Dropbox integration only operates with your permission.
3. Advertising (Google AdMob)
The app uses Google AdMob to display advertisements which help support development.
AdMob may collect certain information automatically, including:
- device identifiers
- advertising ID
- IP address
- device type
- interaction with advertisements
This information is used for:
- preventing fraud and abuse
- ad frequency control
- ad measurement
- aggregated reporting
Non-Personalised Ads
By default, the app displays non-personalised advertisements.
Non-personalised ads may still use limited device information such as the advertising identifier for:
- fraud prevention
- ad frequency capping
- ad measurement
- aggregated reporting
Personalised Ads
Personalised ads may be shown only if the user provides explicit consent where required by local regulations.
If personalised ads are enabled, Google may collect additional data to show ads that are more relevant to the user.
More information about Google’s data practices can be found here:
4. Crash Logs and Diagnostics
To help improve the stability and reliability of the app, the app may collect anonymous crash reports if a crash occurs.
Crash reports may include:
- device model
- operating system version
- app version
- technical crash details
These reports help us diagnose and fix technical issues more quickly.
Crash reports do not contain financial data entered by users.
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell or share personal data.
Other than the specific services described in this policy, personal data is never shared without your explicit permission.
In particular:
• Expense and financial records entered in the app remain on your device
• Financial data is never transmitted to our servers
Data may only be processed by third-party services necessary to operate the app, such as:
- Google AdMob (advertising)
- Dropbox (optional backup feature)
These services operate under their own privacy policies.
6. Email Communication
The app does not request or store user email addresses.
However, you may voluntarily contact us via email for support.
If you contact support:
- Your email address will be used only to respond to your request
